Photo for representative purpose only NEW DELHI: India's active Covid-19 caseload continues to show a downward trend as it fell below 8 lakh for the first time in one-and-a-half months on Friday, helped by declining number of new cases and improved rate of recovery though the surge in numbers in states like Kerala, West Bengal and Chhattisgarh are a cause for concern. On Friday, 62,212 fresh infections were detected, while 70,816 recoveries were recorded taking the rate of recovery to 87.8%.
