Maharashtra's Crisis Worsens, COVID-19 Patient Has To Walk To Hospital As There's No Ambulance

The nature and scale of crisis that the COVID-19 has unfolded are unparalleled. While India struggles to contain the virus, Maharashtra is the worst hit with the state seeing its health system overwhelmed. The magnitude of crisis in India's financial capital can be better understood by this: a coronavirus patient had to walk for about seven kilometres to reach a civic-run hospital at Dombivli in Thane district from his home after he was told that there was no ambulance available to transport him.
