Sadhvi Pragya calls Nathuram Godse 'patriot', forced to apologise after drawing BJP ire - Times of India

Highlights BHOPAL/NEW DELHI: BJP's Bhopal Lok Sabha candidate and Malegaon blast accused Pragya Singh Thakur apologized late Thursday for calling Nathuram Godse a "patriot" after her party strongly condemned the controversial remark. Earlier today, Thakur stoked a major row after calling Nathuram Godse, the man who assassinated Mahatma Gandhi, a "deshbhakt". "Nathuram Godse was a deshbhakt (patriot), he is and will remain a deshbhakt. Those calling him a terrorist should instead look at themselves.
