Amid widespread concern regarding the growing threat of coronavirus, we must take a moment to recognise the heroic efforts being put in by doctors, nurses, medical staff, and all other personnel who provide essential services to members of the public. While most of us have the good fortune of being able to wait out this crisis in the comfort of our own homes, they have to put their own health at risk in order to combat this virus head-on.Also Read: Bangalore Company Is Giving Work From Home Only If Employees Sit In Front Of A Camera For 9 Hours!
Cases of coronavirus have been popping up all over the country, and Maharashtra is no different. Medical facilities are in overdrive as testing and treatment is meted out to patients, and the King Edward Memorial (KEM) hospital in Parel recently became the second hospital in Mumbai to begin COVID-19 testing. However, reports soon followed that doctors and other medical staff at the hospital were working incredibly long hours with next to no protective gear, and hardly any food or water (just water and biscuits) to provide sustenance!
That was the cue for Taj hotels to intervene, providing specially packaged packets of food and drink for the hard-working medical staff in a gesture that was widely appreciated all across social media.
