3 bronze idols of Rama, Sita and Lakshmana, which were stolen from the Sri Rajagopalaswamy temple in Tamil Nadu in 1978 were handed over to the High Commission of India (HCI) in London at a function on Tuesday. The idols were in the possession of an art dealer. The idols believed to be dating back to the 15th century were traced to London after the idol wing CID reopened the case after several years.
